Slice of Life Blog
The Freightliner Trucks “Slice of Life” program was launched in 2009 as a means of introducing North America to the then-new Freightliner Cascadia® truck and DetroitTM DD15® engine combination.
Through the program, three real-world owner-operators were each provided a Slice of Life in a custom 2010 Freightliner Cascadia truck equipped with a 2010 Detroit DD15 engine, featuring BlueTec® emissions technology. The combination of the Cascadia—one of the most aerodynamic trucks on the road today—and the powerful and efficient DD15 engine delivers impressive fuel economy.
Read as each driver shares their adventures with the trucking public in the form of a weekly interactive blog. Over two seasons, the participating drivers have universally raved about the significant fuel efficiencies they’ve enjoyed.
